Since September, Year 8 have embraced the Accelerated Reader programme and made it an intrinsic part of their curriculum. Accelerated Reader is a customised reading programme that meets the needs of individual students.

Turton recorded their highest GCSE scores ever this summer, with 69% of the year group achieving 5 A*-C grades including English and Maths. This is 6% up on last year and the first time the school has come close to the 70% barrier.
